Meet our Team
PCC is lucky to have an amazing team of educators working with our learners every day! We have a combined total of over 80 years of experience building towers, painting pictures, pushing swings, singing songs, tying shoes, reading books, and creating the foundation of learning that your children will continue to build on for the rest of their lives.
If you speak with any of our preschool parents, they will all share their love and adoration for our staff, several of whom have served at our school for more than 20 years. PCC is proud to be a living wage employer as well in addition to offering health insurance benefits to our fabulous teaching and administrative staff. We know this sets us apart from other half-day preschool programs in the area and keeps our teachers healthy and happy!
Deborah & Phoebe, 2 year-old (Bunnies) Teachers
Our devoted 2-year-old teachers work with our youngest learners. Often these children haven’t spent much time away from home and our teachers take great care in creating a special and fun place to come and play each day. Our twos teachers team-teach 10 children in this
classroom (5:1 ratio). Children can attend 2, 3 or 5 days per week.
Erin and LIsa, 3 year-old (Bears) Teachers
Our 3-year-old teachers creatively work to help our each child become an independent learner, navigating how to share, work together and play cooperatively. Two teachers team-teach 13 children in this classroom (13:2 ratio). Children can attend 2, 3 or 5 days per week.
anne and ABBY, 4 year-old (birds) Teachers
And our fearless four-year-old teachers help prepare our learners for kindergarten through art, reading, music and more. Two teachers team-teach 15 children in the 4’s classroom (15:2 ratio). Children attend 5 days per week.
Ms. Kris, Music & Movement Teacher
Ms.Kris comes to all the classrooms to provide music and laughter for the kids.
ANNA williams, Director
Our director, Anna Williams, is a seasoned early childhood education professional with experience as a teacher, assistant director and director. She graduated magna cum laude from Meredith College and has been extensively involved in her community through both her church and PTA. Anna is serving as the Vice-Chair of the Durham Orange Preschool Association, an organization of local preschools in Durham and Chapel Hill. She has also trained in Conscious Discipline. Anna feels privileged to partner with amazing teachers and supportive & loving families that know the value of a play-based preschool education. Anna and her husband, Ben, have two teenage children.
